ADVENT ADVENT Advent

second Sunday of Advent (Ambrosia)

Continuaiamo our journey in the traditions of Christmas and for the second week we talk about

BELLS

As you know the birth of Jesus, the shepherds when they received the message of the angels, immediately ran to the cave. A popular story says it was with them a blind child. The pastors were taken from the great joy at the announcement that they had received began to run and paid no attention to him. Being blind, he could not find his cave, and so stood, alone and abandoned. He also wanted him to go to pay homage to the baby, but could not get there alone. He tried to attract the attention of the crowd that went to the cave, but no one seemed to have time for him. At one p anointed, when the uproar was over, he could hear the distant sound of the bell of a cow. Since he had no better solution, the child thought that perhaps that cow is located at the stable where baby Jesus was born. A little 'wavering stood up and groped walked toward the sound. His assumptions were correct, he managed to get your child to Jesus and he's paid homage. His joy was great, and despite not seeing us, he went home happy. A simple bell had shown the way.

the boys and not only them, but to all people of good will, we asked this small commitment:

I undertake to avoid calling attention to my nonsense, but I try hear the call of the important things, just as Jesus is.

first Sunday of Advent
Ambrosian For us, (that is, for all who belong to the diocese of Milan, one of the largest in the world) From yesterday we got coming in, or in times of waiting!
With the boys this year following the pointer of the FOM (Foundation Speakers Milanesi), we created a small booklet with an explanation of the various things that are done at Christmas, was titled:
WHY 'CHRISTMAS
and every week I'll try to share a design, an explanation / legend on perckè has started to do a certain thing, this week we start with a CRIB

E 'was San Francisco to create the first living nativity scene. The year was 1223 in Greccio, in Umbria. He wanted the time the Mass of Christmas was even more beautiful. He wanted to help him and the people who attended to feel closer to Jesus He thought that many times we say that God became man, but you do not understand the greatness of this fact, the choice to be as small as a newborn baby . Then he had an idea: even here, in this Mass, there was a child. Or a young mother asked her friend if she could go to the celebration with her husband and newborn child. When Francis asked one thing, now people made in four to help him, because he had helped them be better friends with each other and then friends of Jesus, even though the hard work, because her little boy would have caught cold, the mother was organized. But soon the rumor spread and many other inhabitants of Greccio took part in the representation of the birth in Bethlehem. Who was the pastor, whom the laundress, who offered the ox and the donkey. This time, the Mass of Christmas everyone understood the omnipotence of the Lord that he had approached so much to men as to become a child. From that day it was rebuilt many times a live nativity scene and later when they could not have so many people, each family began to build small statuettes to remember, even at home, the mystery of Christmas.
